Oscar Garza
Founder, CEO & Lead Investor
Oscar Garza is a visionary entrepreneur, investor, and the driving force behind Alpine Greens and Hydroponic Green Valley Produce. As both founder and part of the investor group behind these ventures, Oscar blends strategic leadership, financial commitment, and deep expertise in high-tech agriculture to bring smarter, more sustainable farming to North America.
Over the past decade, Oscar has built Hydroponic Green Valley Produce into one of Latin America’s most advanced greenhouse farming operations, now spanning over 100 acres. The company operates in collaboration with Ganfer, one of Mexico’s largest agricultural producers, growing tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers for industry giant NatureSweet. The operation integrates cutting-edge technology, vertical systems, and sustainable practices to maximize quality and efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
With Alpine Greens, Oscar brings this same innovation and scale to leafy greens. Grown in high-altitude, solar-powered greenhouses and using up to 90% less water than traditional field-grown lettuce, Alpine Greens delivers fresh, clean-label produce grown closer to the U.S. market with unmatched consistency and flavor.
Oscar holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering and an MBA, with academic experience at Hochschule Esslingen (Germany), Tecnológico de Monterrey, EGADE Business School, and the University of Detroit Mercy (USA). His engineering background and international business education fuel a results-driven approach to agricultural innovation and global food supply.
Today, Oscar continues to lead as CEO and lead investor, guiding Alpine Greens and Hydroponic Green Valley Produce toward a clean, climate-smart, and scalable future in agriculture.

Our Region
Grown Where the Mountains Touch the Sky

Alpine Greens is proudly grown in the highlands of Galeana, Nuevo León, in northern Mexico—a region defined by its purity, elevation, and unmatched growing conditions. Nestled at nearly 2,000 meters (6,560 feet) above sea level, our greenhouses are surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes that naturally protect and nourish everything we grow.
This high-elevation location offers exceptional solar intensity, making it not only ideal for cultivating strong, nutrient-rich leafy greens—but also for powering our operations sustainably through solar energy. Our solar-powered greenhouses allow us to produce year-round while significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
We irrigate our crops with pristine mountain spring water, naturally filtered and delivered at a steady +/-16°C (60°F). Rich in natural minerals, this water enhances the flavor, texture, and nutritional value of our greens.
The land that Alpine Greens now thrives on has been part of the founding family's legacy for three generations. What began as traditional agriculture has evolved into a high-tech, sustainable operation—driven by innovation but grounded in deep-rooted knowledge of the region and a long-standing connection to the land.
Strategically located just 100 miles from the Texas border, Alpine Greens is effectively in the backyard of the U.S. market. Our greens are harvested, packed, and shipped within hours, arriving at our clients’ doors in less than 24 hours. This short supply chain means fresher product, longer shelf life, and drastically reduced food miles—making Alpine Greens one of the freshest and most efficient choices for U.S. retailers and foodservice providers.
Just minutes away from its sister operation, the 100+ acre greenhouses of Hydroponic Green Valley Produce, our farm benefits from shared infrastructure, technical expertise, and a proven culture of operational excellence. We also take pride in being a socially responsible employer, creating meaningful jobs and providing ongoing training to local workers—strengthening the community and building long-term opportunities in the region.
At Alpine Greens, our lettuce is never touched by human hands. From seed to harvest to packing, the entire process is fully automated, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, consistency, and hygiene. This advanced level of control allows us to offer products that are 100% clean, ready to eat, and require no washing—delivering exceptional purity, crisp texture, and vibrant taste straight from greenhouse to plate.
Our commitment to quality is backed by the industry’s most stringent international certifications, covering food safety, environmental sustainability, and social accountability. From the water we use to the energy that powers us, Alpine Greens is driven by the belief that food should be as clean, responsible, and fresh as the place it comes from.
